More Undergarmentology – Garters, Stockings, and Corsets

She wears a belt with ribbon suspenders. The little tab things attached to the ribbons hold the stockings, though very few girls wear the devices nowadays, or for years past, unless they want someone to see them, which makes them more show-off garments than undergarments. In my books Lisa, the Maid in “A Maid for All Seasons” wears a garter belt and hose as part of her everyday uniform, and Beth, Mr. Swayne’s exective assistant, also wears such attire, mostly because Mr. Swayne finds it attractive, and my editors, especially the ones at Venus Book Club, decided that photos of models in garter belts and stockings should be featured on almost all of the book covers, which I find excessive. Not that I object to seeing a lissome female form so adorned, but after the first four or five such pictures the image becomes a bit of a cliché, besides which, NONE of the photos showed the belt, suspenders and hose doing, to any spanker’s mind, what they do best – ‘frame the spank spot’ – another cliché, I’m afraid, and one I did my best to avoid even when I had my characters dressed that way.

Those issues aside, I’m all for this mode of attire. Certainly it’s dated and old-fashioned, but so is spanking. I love photos from the early 20^th century, the 30s, 40s and 50s, and always have associated garter belts and hose with the more innocent naughtiness of those times, and also I appreciate the more Rubenesque bottoms prevalent amongst models of the era. My personal experience with garters and stockings began somewhat later along the undergarmentology time line – the late 60s – starting with panty girdles, a satanic device that consisted of a waist-to-thigh expanse of industrial strength Lycra, beneath the legs of which a girl tucked her stocking tops, with or without the aid of garter tabs. This mid-body armor made access to milady’s naughty bits impossible on late night bus trips with the marching band. (I played sax. I’ll tell you about it later.) At other times the contraption was completely un-pull-downable once she was across my lap without not only the young woman’s compliance but also her assistance. I still can feel the sting in my palm from the one time I tried to spank a girl so clad, but I’m sure she still remembers the burn in her bottom when I finally got smart, took the flat-backed plastic hairbrush from her purse, and scorched her fanny within the heat-retaining garment. She knew better than to flirt with that trumpet player while I was there. The very idea!

But back to the garter belt, a very NOT Rubenesque model wore one while I spanked her, and I very well recall the sting in my palm from that episode as well, since the iron-clad situpon I mean belongs to Erica Scott. When one works on a Shadow Lane video, Eve Howard buys one’s wardrobe, or at least parts of it, and Erica was unfamiliar with the intricacies of donning the device. In fact she asked ME to help her secure the garters once she had put on the belt, hose and panties Eve got for her.

The garter tab itself is quite a simple and elegant device – you stretch a bit of the stocking top over the button, and then pull the wire ring over the button and down to cinch it. The art is to attach the tabs so that the suspenders hang straight down, and not off at odd angles so the stockings bunch and wrinkle. That kind of thing takes practice, which none of us had in abundance, but after Eve, Tony Elka, Erica and I fiddled with the apparatus for quite some time, we finally got the little black ribbons, the satiny belt, and the silky nylons in order, framing her midsection. Nothing worse than irregularly aligned underthings on screen, especially when the putative, story-line reason Erica wore them was to subtly hint that she needed the bare bottom treatment for which the strict and famous spanking novelist in the video is famous. Hm? Yeah, I played the famous novelist. Big stretch, huh?

So … corsets. Corsets are sort of like girdles – sixteen-cylinder, double clutch in E-flat full-orchestration girdles, that lace up the back and can turn a girl’s 29-inch waist into a pancreatic hemorrhage in about six weeks, if cinched tightly enough. (Sorry. I’m watching ‘House’ while I write this.) These are restraint devices, and one young woman I know gets off so much on restraint that she had an orgasm when the doctor put a neck brace on her after a car accident. Okay, maybe that’s unusual, but from my point of view – the rear – there is a lot to be said for the way a corset accentuates a girl’s hind parts. Everyone remembers the bits in ‘Gone With the Wind’ where Vivian Leigh is yanked and tugged into such a contraption, and I’m sure a few of us (Michael? Dr. Ken?) recall Emma Peel prancing around so attired in the “Hell Fire Club” Avengers episode – though quite honestly her hairdo made her look more like ‘The Bride of Frankenstein,’ and it’s not one of my favorite images.

Still, if a girl has just the corset on, complete with suspenders and garter tabs, and the stockings so suspended have straight seams or none, AND she’s looking at me over her shoulder, her bottom pantied or not, I certainly can relate. Perhaps I should mention that part of the purpose of a corset is to uplift the breasts, and I’m all for that too. That aspect isn’t essential to me, but I do understand that a full, pert bosom is important to some people, especially to women, as a sign of femininity. So if my little princess wants to publish pictures of girls with squished waists, highly up thrust boobs, and seriously out thrust tushies, I’m totally on board. Heck, I’ll even volunteer to lace Erica into one of the things for another video – but this time, NO HAND SPANKING. Her bottom’s too tough. Adorable, sure, but you can bend nails on it. Maybe it’s time to get serious about caning.

What? Yes, you may wear a corset too, Kitty Eyes, so long as I don’t have to deal with Lycra or whalebone covering your adorable derriere. But I’ll pick the color and the panties that go with it, and it comes right off as soon as I hear labored breathing. Hm? No. Not the cane, but where did you say that weeping willow tree is?
